Everybody is born a cleaner.

In year 1993, with the Presidential Proclamation No. 244, declaring the month of September as the National Clean-up Month and the 17th to the 23rd of September as the World Clean and Green Week. Volunteers and environmental group supporters from all across the country come together to engage in these events/activities by cleaning their own neighborhood, school grounds, parks, rivers, coastal, and other regions.
Reduce the amount of plastic you use. One of the main sources of environmental harm is plastic pollution. Try to limit your use of plastic whenever you can. Bring your own reusable shopping bags and water bottle, and steer clear of anything packaged in plastic.
Consumption reduction is one of the most crucial things a student can do to protect the environment. Take shorter showers, unplug electronics when not in use, and turn off lights when you leave a room.
Purchasing recycled goods is another approach to conserve resources. utilized paper that has been gathered from households, companies, and schools is utilized to create recycled paper.
Be conscious of your diet and how it impacts the environment. You might try gradually reducing the quantity of meat in your diet and including more plant-based foods.

Dear President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,

I hope you are doing well as I write this. I'm writing to you today to let you know how I feel about your presidency. As a concerned student of the Philippines, I think it is imperative to express my thoughts and concerns to our president.

I want to start off by recognizing the importance of your family's legacy in Philippine history. The name Marcos is inextricably linked to a period of major achievements and difficulties for our nation. There is no denying that your father's administration had both beneficial and detrimental effects on the Philippines. While some attribute the expansion of the economy and the infrastructure to your family, others regret the suppression of democratic institutions and the alleged violations of human rights that occurred during that time.

I am cautiously optimistic for the future of our country under your leadership as a concerned student. You have the chance, in my opinion, to reframe the Marcos legacy and guide our nation toward a more promising future. But you must lead with honesty, modesty, and a sincere interest in the prosperity and well-being of the Filipino people.

I'm hoping that as you face the challenges ahead, you'll keep the feelings and aspirations of the Filipino people in mind. By doing this, you can bring our country together and guide us toward a future that is both inclusive and wealthy.

I appreciate you giving this issue your attention. Wishing you the knowledge and courage to lead our precious nation with the utmost care and dedication.

 Respectfully, Bryle Justine Alasaas

Improving Philippines' Resiliency

One of the nations most susceptible to climatic disasters worldwide is the Philippines. In this archipelagic nation, there are typically 21 tropical cyclones of varied intensities each year.
Typhoon Odette, a Category 5 super typhoon that devastated seven provinces in 2021, hit the nation. The Philippines were struck by 15 typhoons in 2021, with Odette being by far the fiercest. More than 8
million Filipinos were affected by it, and thousands were left homeless without access to food, water, shelter, or other necessities.

The expense of disasters to this nation places a tremendous strain on national, local, and household budgets as well as on the security and well-being of its citizens. The social compact between government, public institutions, and the populace is shattered. The impoverished and most vulnerable people are frequently impacted hardest by local governments and communities, who bear the burden of this.

What would it take to provide greater resilience in the face of these persistent dangers throughout rebuilding efforts?

The Philippines has made great strides in combating climate change and disaster risk, and it now seeks to increase response and outcome resilience. This entails taking systemic risks into account and the requirement for drastically transformative actions involving all stakeholders. This entails persistent efforts and investments in enhancing national and regional governments' capacities across sectors to collaborate on more integrated solutions. This entails including communities directly from the start in determining how to effectively build-back so that people may feel certain that their suggestions and criticism have been taken into account. This entails investing significantly more in prevention, foreseeing dangers, and making plans for them prior to a post-disaster recovery.

Teachers' Month

#TOGETHER4TEACHERS

National Teachers Month 2023, with the subject "Together4Teachers," strives to recognize and highlight teachers' vital role, devoted service, and committed devotion to raising  globally aware citizens, nurturing families, enhancing communities, and building the nation as a whole. A excellent teacher creates an enduring impression on their students. Teachers literally have the ability to shape our futures, and effective teachers can have a huge impact on that. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the amazing influence you've had on my life. I wouldn't be who I am now without your commitment, concern, and constant support. Your enthusiasm for education and capacity to arouse my curiosity have been genuinely amazing. I appreciate you believing in me despite my self-doubt. In addition to assisting me in academic success, your advice has given me the conviction that I am capable of achieving everything I set my mind to. I'll never forget the several hours you invested in making sure I was succeeded.  Your passion and selflessness have made a permanent impression on my life. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate you.

What I understand about the theme “Together4Teacher” is that we need to come together to value teachers. We will show their importance in the whole world. Also, we all need to express our deepest gratitude for their dedication, care, and unwavering support that have shaped us into the person we are today. "If you have to put someone on a pedestal, put teachers. They are society's heroes."  Guy Kawasaki
